His Book of Adventures

His Book of Adventures As I mentioned a few weeks ago, my wife and I are moving to Lyndonville, Vermont to help teens find their identity in Christ as we find ours. As we help them grow in the Lord we are ourselves will be growing ever closer to our Father. Even now, God has been preparing us for this new chapter in His Book of Adventures called, “Our Lives”. He is working in us like never before. He has called us to start fresh and new, and to be completely in His grip of care. First, He called us out of our comfort-zone to a ranch that is completely out of our element. This was to prepare us for yet another move. This move is to a place of beauty, of ministry, of discipleship, of complete immersion in His word, His Glory, His Fulness. Father God, the Author of His Book of Adventures has given us one great adventure after another. And we can’t wait to see how this one is going to be played out. It’s already getting interesting. It is amazing what He has alr...

An Easter Story

Image
An Easter Story As they took Him to the Pavement, to the scourging post, Satan, and his evil disciples were rejoicing with wicked excitement. As the demons guided every blow of the Roman guard to the body of Christ They shouted in vicious victory, as Jesus shouted in agonizing pain. The demons leaped on the unholy crowd, inciting a dark and evil riot, They hurled blasphemies, cursing, and unimaginable hate towards the Savior. And all the time, Satan is holding his side in laughter Saying, “I have won! I have won! I have won!” The demons clung to the whip as it tore open the flesh of Christ They shouted, “Again! Again! Again!” as the guard flung the whip at Jesus The flesh of Jesus hung in strands from His body Exposing organs, bones and tissue The Father held back His mighty army, for they were ready for war. They stood back in disbelief thinking, “Why is our King allowing this to happen?” With swords drawn and ready for the command, The Father...

The Achievement:

Image
The Achievement: There are those who say the crucifixion of Jesus was a tragedy. I say it was an achievement, an accomplishment, a plan played out, prophecy fulfilled. If Jesus would not have been crucified the way He was, the Old Testament would have been nothing more than fairy tales, and God the Creator of all . . . a liar. If Jesus had not been crucified we would be damned. There is no way we could live under the law and God the Father and the Son knew that. Also if Jesus had not died on the cross for our sins, we could not call Him, Christ, Savior, Redeemer or Lord. Jesus prayed to the Father, “If there’s another way, let’s take it. But not my will, Yours.” There was no other way that we could be saved. Jesus made sure He was crucified on the day He was. The Pharisees didn’t want to kill Him on a Feast day, but Jesus made sure He was. At the last supper, Jesus tells Judas to go do what he has to, that is, get the ball rolling. In the garden when Judas shows up with t...

A Declaration in Daniel 1:6

A Declaration in Daniel 1:6 Five men are mentioned in this verse. Let’s fined out the meaning of their names and see if there is a message for us. Dan 1:6 Now among them from the sons of Judah were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. Judah = ( P raise! ), the praise of the Lord; Daniel = (judgment of God), God is my J udge Hananiah = ( Beloved by the Lord ) , Yah has favored Mishael = ( W ho is what God is! ), Who is as God! Azariah = ( The LORD my H elp ), Yah has helped. Dan 1:6 Now among them from the sons of Judah ( Praise! ) were Daniel ( God is my judge ) , Hananiah ( Beloved by the Lord ), Mishael ( Who is as God is ) and Azariah ( The LORD my help ) . Praise! God is my J udge. The Beloved by the Lord, Who is as God is ! ( I s ) The LORD my H elp. A Declaration. I Praise! Because, God is my Judge. The Beloved by the Lord, W ho is what God is! Worship ‘til Heaven Shakes and the Earth Quakes

Worship ‘til Heaven Shakes and the Earth Quakes Sing unto Him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise. Psa 33:3 (KJV) I love this verse, because I love My music loud. Time and time again the Scriptures tell us to, shout to the Lord, cry out to the Lord, to celebrate with music and dance, and to sing New songs to the Lord. And yet, so many Churches today are singing the same hymns that were sung a hundred years ago, fifty years ago, 25 years ago. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that, if we mix it with lively, skilfully played new songs. Let’s look at this verse closely. The Hebrew word for Sing is, shiyr meaning; to sing The Hebrew word for New is, chadash meaning; new, new thing, fresh The Hebrew word for Song is, shiyr meaning; a song or, to sing The Hebrew word for Play is, nagan Meaning; 1. (properly) to thrum, i.e. beat a tune with the fingers. 2. (especially) to play on a stringed instrument. 3. (hence, generally) to make music. ...

Mystery Paradox

Mystery Paradox Paradox: A tenet or proposition contrary to received opinion, or seemingly absurd, yet true in fact. Abide: to dwell, rest, continue, stand firm, or be stationary for anytime indefinitely. Mystery: A profound secret; something wholly unknown or something kept cautiously concealed, and therefore exciting curiosity or wonder. Joh n 14:20 (Jesus speaking) "In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. (NASB) Christ is dwelling in the Father, we are dwelling in Christ, and Christ is dwelling in us. 1Co 3:16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1Co 3:17 If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. (NASB) Rom 8:9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of...

Being Set Apart

Being Set Apart: 1Co 6:11 There was a time when some of you were just like that, but now your sins have been washed away, and you have been set apart for God. You have been made right with God because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have done for you. (NLT) Heb 10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Being set apart is to be sanctified. When we follow Jesus we have been sanctified, set apart from the rest of the world as a special prize, a treasure, the bride of Christ, our Savior and King. We are no longer part of this world of sin, hate and filth. We have been forgiven of ALL sin, filled with the agape love of Christ and have been made clean. The Timeless-One has set us aside as His very own, as His very own people, strange and alien-like, that no longer belong here on this earth. You are separated from earthly things to be connected with spiritual things ....

The Genesis of Love and Worship

The Genesis of Love and Worship The first time the word “love” shows up in Scripture is in Genesis 22 verse 2, it reads, Gen 22:1 Now it came about after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am." Gen 22:2 He said, "Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you." Here God tells Abraham to take his son whom he loves and sacrifice him. Wow! Now, the first time the word, “worship” is found in Scripture is in the same story, Genesis 22 verse 5. Gen 22:5 Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go over there; and we will worship and return to you." So, when we read the words “love” and “worship” for the first time in the Bible, it is in a story about God telling a man to sacrifice his son as a burn...
