Mystery Paradox

Mystery Paradox Paradox: A tenet or proposition contrary to received opinion, or seemingly absurd, yet true in fact. Abide: to dwell, rest, continue, stand firm, or be stationary for anytime indefinitely. Mystery: A profound secret; something wholly unknown or something kept cautiously concealed, and therefore exciting curiosity or wonder. Joh n 14:20 (Jesus speaking) "In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. (NASB) Christ is dwelling in the Father, we are dwelling in Christ, and Christ is dwelling in us. 1Co 3:16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1Co 3:17 If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. (NASB) Rom 8:9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of...

Being Set Apart

Being Set Apart: 1Co 6:11 There was a time when some of you were just like that, but now your sins have been washed away, and you have been set apart for God. You have been made right with God because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have done for you. (NLT) Heb 10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Being set apart is to be sanctified. When we follow Jesus we have been sanctified, set apart from the rest of the world as a special prize, a treasure, the bride of Christ, our Savior and King. We are no longer part of this world of sin, hate and filth. We have been forgiven of ALL sin, filled with the agape love of Christ and have been made clean. The Timeless-One has set us aside as His very own, as His very own people, strange and alien-like, that no longer belong here on this earth. You are separated from earthly things to be connected with spiritual things ....

The Genesis of Love and Worship

The Genesis of Love and Worship The first time the word “love” shows up in Scripture is in Genesis 22 verse 2, it reads, Gen 22:1 Now it came about after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am." Gen 22:2 He said, "Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you." Here God tells Abraham to take his son whom he loves and sacrifice him. Wow! Now, the first time the word, “worship” is found in Scripture is in the same story, Genesis 22 verse 5. Gen 22:5 Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go over there; and we will worship and return to you." So, when we read the words “love” and “worship” for the first time in the Bible, it is in a story about God telling a man to sacrifice his son as a burn...

The Scars of Christ

The Scars of Christ Pastor D W Riffe This is a study of the scars of HaShem Yahshuah HaMoshiach, (the Name, Jesus the Messiah). This is a revealing of Jesus. I hope it will show us the true image of Jesus, and why the disciples didn’t recognize Him when they saw Him after the resurrection. The book of Revelation is the book in the Bible that reveals Jesus. It shows Who He is and what He is all about. We won’t be staying in Revelation though; this is just our starting point. Let’s go to Revelation chapter 5. Rev 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. Rev 5:2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?" Rev 5:3 And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. Rev 5:4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and ...
